Katie + Buddy | Wanaka Elopement Wedding

Katie & Buddy originate from the UK. Having lived in Auckland for several years now, the thought of a large wedding was all a bit overwhelming for the pair. Hence why they decided on an intimate elopement wedding in Wanaka. With a couple of close friends near by, surrounded by the beautiful scenery, the day was perfect- a reflection of their love. What better than to celebrate an awesome milestone in one of your favourite destinations on the planet!

These two made the day an epic one- such a fun and laid back couple to shoot. Katie rocked up in her Timberland boots and thermals under her dress. Ready for adventure. And Buddy was so stoked, the shakas were plentiful, and many laughs were had throughout the day.

The afternoon included a gorgeous ceremony on the lake front of Hawea. They embraced the wind and made a toast to their futures ahead. Next a little adventure to a few of the ‘local spots’ in the area for some more spectacular views and we even got to watch the sun set behind the mountains. Then off they went to finish the evening with dinner for two in Queenstown.
