I was lucky enough to shoot this beautiful Mudbrick vineyard wedding on Waiheke for Delaney & JJ. Think moody skies and backdrops. Elegant, chic details to compliment this classic & iconic venue that is Mudbrick.
Delaney & JJ wanted to celebrate surrounded by their closest group of loved ones, on this gorgeous April afternoon. Living abroad in Australia, they hadn’t had a chance to be with all of their families together. Enjoying the evening singing and dancing was important. Holding their wedding at Mudbrick Vineyard was a no brainer when it came to choosing a venue location, as being in Waiheke, it made it easy for people to travel to from all over being so close to Auckland city.
Holding their ceremony later in the afternoon allowed for a wonderfully intimate first look between the two of them, followed by their bridal party session. The wind did pick up a little, meaning we held the ceremony indoors – however this is what I rated about this venue, due to its natural sky light allowing covered ceremonies still to be a beautiful option (photographers dream).
Not to mention loads of fabulous portrait locations right on site so no need to travel away from your party.
The evening was topped off with some heartfelt speeches and a traditional haka, preformed by the families & friends, which really got the emotions going. Absolutely loved being part of this day – thanks for having me Delaney & JJ xo.
