Jacks Point Tipi Wedding | Hannah + John

Hannah & John had their gorgeous tipi wedding near by their home, nestled under the Remarkable’s mountain range of Jacks Point, Queenstown.

Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship…

We are both from Dunedin but now living in Queenstown, Hannah works HR for Ferg Foods and John has an Architecture Business based in Jacks Point. We have been together since teenagers, high school sweethearts..

How/where/when did you meet?

We met through mutual friends after John had ‘expressed interest’ meeting Hannah.

What’s special about your relationship? What do you love most about each other?

We have been through a lot over the years, we have stuck together since we were 18 and that shows how much we care for each other. We both love how caring and supportive we are towards each other.

What is your favourite memory or moment from your wedding day?

All of it of course..! When we snuck away for photos just as the sun was setting on the lake, that was pretty magical!

Why did you choose your wedding venue? What was special about it?

It’s close to where we live and has amazing views of the lake and mountains that we love.

Describe the ‘vibe’ or feeling you were going for when planning your wedding day

We wanted everyone to feel relaxed and have a blast, while still getting dressed up!

Were there any mishaps on the day that you look back and laugh at now?

Surprisingly not! Hannah is far too organised

Was there a certain moment during the ceremony you want to keep close forever?

We have a 4K recording of it, so we can keep it close forever!

If you were to describe your wedding day in three words what would they be?

Best day ever!

Is there something you would have done differently (or something you would do more of) if you could do it again?

We would have loved if the people who missed out due to the pandemic could have been there

What are you most looking forward to know that you are married?

Having babies!

What is one piece of advice you would give to future couples planning their wedding?

Dont stress if you dont follow the norm!
