Tekapo Lupins Engagement Photography Session | Louise + Phillip

Louise + Phil spent their engagement photography session adventuring around Lake Tekapo in the McKenzie district – famous for it’s beautiful lupins!

Lou got in touch with me after her and Phil recently became engaged. She painted a picture of their idea of a couples session – I was all in. Love amongst Lupins, nailed it guys! A couple’s weekend away to the majestical Lake Tekapo, the perfect way to escape the city life; to enjoy what this country has on offer right at our door step. Basically a dream back drop to fizz over when it comes to locations for almost any photographer. And not to mention how freaking cute these two are together.

It wasn’t without a hurdle before our plans to adventure to Lake Tekapo’s lupins for this fun-filled engagement photography session. Early December is the perfect time of year for these striking flowers to bloom in full force. However, New Zealand has had some pretty interesting weather this summer, particularly the South Island which resulted in having to postpone. Fortunately with an angel of a Airbnb host, and the ability to move the trip to the following weekend, we were able to frolic amidst all this goodness after all accompanied by some moody weather and a cracker sunset to finish it all off!

Thanks Lou + Phil for a bunch of laughs, and some all round great chat! Throughly enjoyed this afternoon kicking it with such a rad couple and capturing some pretty special love between you guys. Felt like hanging out with old friends, and I love my job because of humans like you.
