Kylie and Wesley, what can I say, I feel so lucky to have been a part of your day. These two held their Auckland wedding at the beautiful Tui Hills, nestled amidst the stunning lush surroundings of the west coast native forests. A couple that have so much love and good energy between them, it made an absolute pleasure to document; and it’s always a bonus when you end up with awesome people like these two as friends on the other side of it!
Wes and the boys spent the morning of the wedding at their Titirangi home, hanging out and soaking in the good vibes, while the girls spent their morning sipping champagne, grazing on brunch platters and getting glammed up. Ky and Wes’s neighbour has the most amazing classic car. Ky and her dad arrived to the venue in it and it suited this classy lady to a T! The ceremony and speeches bought everyone to fits of laughter and happy tears. The reception wrapped with a powerful Haka, preformed by Wesleys boys which moved the whole room. A perfectly executed first dance and every one boogy-ing on the d-floor saw the the night go out with an absolute bang.
As a wedding photographer, capturing an Auckland wedding at Tui hills really was a treat. A nice change from the deep South, and the perfect way to feed the creative eye. The nature elements of the native greenery and the golden light that the West coast provides as the evening nears, is something like no other.
